Denmark, SC.- The Tornadoes swept through South Carolina on their way to Nationals and came up victorious in their final regular season game by completing a season sweep over Voorhees College.

Talladega College started the game slowly and allowed Voorhees to stay in the game for the majority of the first half. The Tornadoes used a 12-2 run in the closing minutes of the first half to take a 39-29 halftime lead. TC carried their momentum into the start of the second half and ended up cruising to an easy 78-57 win.

For the fifth consecutive game, senior center Jeral "Stretch" Davis, led all scorers in the game with 20 points on 8-of-11 (73%) shooting from the field. All in all the Tornadoes had five players reach double figures in the win. Patrick Rodgers contributed 13 points, Donnell Pope pitched in 12 points, Jorge Canedo added 11 points, and Tory Guillory chipped in 10 points.

"Although we started the game out of sync, we really picked up our defensive intensity in the second half. Everyone contributed to the win, it's just the type of team effort we needed heading into postseason play. I was excited to see our two Freshman, Donnell Pope and Tory Guillory, step up and combine for 22 points in the game", remarked TC coach Matt Cross.

Talladega College finishes their regular season play on a remarkable nine game winning streak to improve their record to 22-7. The Tornadoes look to continue their red hot play next week as they will begin their Postseason.
