Talladega College Athletics Director Wilberto Ramos announced today that Emanuel Stephens has been named as the 3rd head coach of the Tornadoes men's soccer program.
Stephens comes to Talladega after a successful tenure as the head men's soccer coach at nearby Concordia where he guided the Hornets to the 2012 USCAA National Tournament in Asheville, North Carolina for the first time since 2009. The Hornets finished third in the USCAA during the regular season, including a 7-match unbeaten streak. The Hornets compiled an 11-4 overall record; the eleven wins marked the most wins in program history since the 2009 campaign. Stephens turned in the most successful season by a first-year head coach in program history.
DAYTONA BEACH, FL- The Tornado men's golf program competed in the Bash at the Beach hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL, April 5-7.
Jacksonville, FL - Needing only one win to clinch the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference title for the second year in a row, Talladega College baseball faced a looming obstacle in the Tigers of Edward Waters College this weekend. Not only did TC take home the conference trophy… but also a fourth-seed bid to the GCAC/TranSouth Conference Tournament taking place in just over a week.
Jacksonville, FL - The start of spring has set TC's offense abloom, as in April Lady Tornadoes' softball has conquered opponents behind an onslaught of runs. A weekend double-header against rival Edward Waters College would see Talladega finish conference play a perfect 8-0.
